Camp CCBA

Message from the Camp Director

Thank you for your interest in Camp CCBA! As a lifelong teacher and coach, I believe that summer camp can be a transformative experience for young people. Summer is a time for developing life skills outside of a structured classroom, when children can explore new activities, build self-confidence, and make new friends. Whether children are with us for the entire summer or a single week, our experienced staff and I seek to integrate them into the camp community, encouraging them to discover their strengths and to contribute to the collective whole. In short, we encourage children to always strive to be their best selves.

Our busy daily program keeps children active, engaged, and unplugged! We will push them to grow in stature and to appreciate the rewards that come with learning and sharing that experience with others. Campers will have the opportunity to demonstrate their unique abilities in a safe, supportive, and low stakes setting, be it swimming the length of the pool, competing on a soccer team, or performing in a talent show.

I hope you will entrust us with the care of your children for all or part of the summer of 2024. Watch them learn and grow and thrive!

About the Camp CCBA Experience

The CCBA’s expansive campus is nestled between a beautiful stretch of the Mascoma River and the heart of downtown Lebanon. Each day, campers can choose from a variety of activities, including team sports, arts and crafts, swimming, theater arts, biking, and nature exploration. The first-rate facilities include the CCBA’s double gymnasium, indoor swimming pool and locker rooms, 60,000 square feet of playing fields, outdoor pavilion, outdoor basketball court, soccer Sports Park, tennis courts, multiple playgrounds, game room, and easy access to the Rail Trail. Our philosophical focus is on character-building, leadership, cooperation, and self-reliance. By taking on challenges and learning new skills, campers will grow in self-confidence and develop a greater appreciation for the world around them.

FUN WEEKLY ACTIVITIES

Biking

Bring your helmet and bike/ scooter and get ready to roll! Younger campers can zip around outside on the CCBA basketball courts, and older campers get to cruise the Rail Trail with counselor supervision, after passing their Bike Safety Test. Available Monday through Friday.

Treats on Fridays!

Campers ring in the end of each week with tasty treats and smiles. Nothing tastes better at the end of a hot summer afternoon than a sweet frozen delight!

Lunch and a Show at Colburn Park

Prepared to be amazed, bewildered, and bewitched by the Lebanon Rec Center’s Thursday show at Colburn Park! Campers will eat their lunch while enjoying the jugglers, magicians, puppets, and more! Thursdays only.

Nature Walks

Catch some bugs, inspect some plants, and breathe in the fresh air with our nature walks! Accompanied by counselors, our younger campers will romp around the Rail Trail and older campers will go farther afield. Availability is dependent on the weather and other activities.
