Youth

The CCBA offers many exciting programs for youth of all ages. Adults can enjoy a workout while their younger children are being supervised in the Child Activities Room, or while their older children are playing a game of billiards, basketball or ping pong. Below is a sample of programs the CCBA offers for youth.

Youth Basketball

The CCBA youth basketball program is a fun, recreational program that emphasizes skill development and teamwork. All coaches and officials are volunteers. Practice times and coaches will be announced at registration. Youth basketball season runs November through mid February.

Youth grades 3 – 6.

Youth Strength & Conditioning Program

Ages 12 – 15

This is a 6-week, twice-per-week exercise program. An initial assessment is given which includes strength, flexibility and cardiovascular testing. Then, with the help of a Fitness Instructor, you set individual fitness goals. The first 4 weeks of the program focus on circuit training exercises and CV work. In week 5, you are introduced to exercises in the Free Weight room. By the end of the 6th week, you have a complete personalized strength & conditioning program and are ready to exercise on your own. Additional support is always available from a Fitness Instructor.

Tot Lot

Parents, child care providers and toddlers are invited to come in and play together with other families. Balls, mats, hoops, tunnels and other fun play equipment will be supplied during this drop-in time. Adult supervision is required.

American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Course

Are you babysitting already, or will you be soon? Do you know how to supervise and play with children of different ages? Do you know what to do in an emergency for a choking child? Learn how to handle these situations along with rescue breathing and Infant/Child CPR.
