What is the Youth Scholarship Program?
The Youth Scholarship Program assists youngsters to enjoy their community recreation center’s facilities and programs.
For what can a scholarship be used?
- Membership Options: Youth in grades 3 through 6 are eligible for a Youth Basic membership. This includes use of the swimming pool, basketball courts, game room and locker rooms. Youth in grades 7 through 12 must purchase a Junior membership. This includes use of the fitness areas and classes, swimming pool, basketball courts.. game room, and locker room.
- Program Options: The CCBA offers a wide variety of recreational programs including, for example, camps for preschoolers and school age youth swim lessons., a swim team, and basketball teams,
Community Service Requirement
Youngsters in grades 3 through 12 who receive a scholarship must perform community service for the CCBA. The number of hours of such service varies with the individual’s grade in. school.
How do I apply?
A parent or guardian should fill out a “Youth Scholarship Application.” Families are encouraged to pay for as much of the desired service as possible because this allows us to assist a larger number of young people.
There is a ceiling of $91 per youngster per calendar year for grades 3-6 and a ceiling of $171 per child per calendar year for grades 7-12.
